Kyana receives Life Award

Greater Louisville Inc. honored Louisville area businesses Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at the 2003 Work/Life Alliance Awards Luncheon at the Kentucky International Convention Center. One hundred companies were recognized for their efforts to promote a healthy balance between their employees' work and life outside of the office.

The commitee and judges awarded the top 10 small, medium, and large businesses with "Leaders in Work/Life Balance" awards. In addition, one Life Award was awarded to the top business in each category. Kyana Packaging & Industrial Supply was honored with the CMR Services Group, Inc. Life Award for Small Business. Inez White, our CEO, and Kim Osborne, our Vice President, were honored to receive the award.

Our management team has always tried to promote a friendly and productive work environment. Our employees benefit from our efforts to improve their health and wellness including offering on site CPR and first aid training and the acquisition of fitness equipment to set up an on site fitness center. In addition, we enjoy health insurance and retirement plans that rival those of large companies. We do this because we know that companies that promote a work/life balance are rewarded with healthier and more productive employees.
