Dave and Inez White, Founders of Kyana Packaging & Industrial Supply Retire March 30, 2007 marked another milestone in the lives of Dave and Inez White. In 1976, they founded Kyana Industrial Supply, with the goal of providing outstanding customer service; knowledgeable, experienced sales support and top of the line quality products at competitive prices to the Louisville, KY market area. 31 years later the 40 employees of Kyana Packaging & Industrial Supply strive on a daily basis to continue their vision. Today Dave and Inez started their well deserved trip into retirement. The occasion was marked by a lunch in their honor with the employees, a cake and a plaque to commemorate the start of this new path in their lives. See the celebration lunch. |

The atmosphere was very festive as employees enjoyed a fabulous dinner catered by Mastersons and celebrated with those that received special recognition for their efforts this year. Sales Office Expansion Construction started on the Sales Office Expansion. Our sales team is growing to better serve our customers and we needed to build a larger Sales Office to accomodate our current and future growth. The new Sales area will have room for our Sales Manager and up to 16 salespeople, with a separate research area. Construction is estimated to take 6 weeks and we will continue to keep you updated on its progress. See pictures here. |

Kyana Hosts the 2005 Enspire Advisory Meeting Kyana Packaging & Industrial Supply hosted the 2005 Annual Enspire Advisory Board meeting. The advisory board is made up of Enspire users from around the U.S. and meets every year to discuss maintanance and enhancements for the software that will continue to improve our business transactions. Kyana has been a member of the board since purchasing the ERP software in 2002. |

Our custom built sheeter is installed The custom-built Rosenthal sheeter arrived! This sheeter has dual jumbo unwind and automatic stackers to help us meet our growing demand to sheet paper, foam, and bubble up to 60" wide and 72" long. |

Our new on-line catalog goes live Kyana Packaging & Industrial Supply has gone live with a new on-line catalog. The new catalog offers dynamic pricing discounts, based on quantity ordered of each item. It also calculates shipping charges in real time, so the customer knows their total cost at the time they place their order. Product availability is also displayed. The entire process is secured by 128 bit encryption, once the customer has logged in. The site has gone live with just 100 items, but more of our over 4000 active products are being added every day. Kyana gets a new Service Truck Kyana Packaging & Industrial Supply has added a new service truck to it's fleet. Previous Kyana service vehicles had relied upon our customers for electric power, compressed air, etc. This new service vehicle is equipped with internal 120VAC power, which drives it's shop air conditioning, air compressor, welder, drill press, grinders and much more. The goal of Kyana Packaging & Industrial Supply is to equip this vehicle as a rolling parts room. Our target is to have 80% of the most commonly needed parts on the truck, for the customer equipment that we maintain. |

Enspire goes Live! Kyana Packaging and Industrial Supply has gone live with a new back end system called Enspire from Dimasys (www.dimasys.com). This Windows based system replaces a very capable DOS based system, that had reached the end of it's development life. Watch for new capabilities to become available, such as copies of documents via email, direct entry of your orders, online status of documents and much more... |
