What are the benefits of Shrink Wrap?
Shrink wrapping is an easy process that only requires two things; the right kind of film and heat. With just a roll of shrink wrap film and a heating source, you can waterproof, weatherproof and tamperproof just about anything you have. Since there is very little restriction on the size item you can shrink wrap, big or small; you now have a way to protect even your bulkiest of items. As an added bonus, shrink wrap film is recyclable; when you’re finished with it, you can toss it in with your other plastic bags to be recycled and remade for future uses.
When heat is applied to shrink wrap, it creates a very tight seal. This plastic seal then fully protects the shrink wrapped contents. Once sealed, the items are no longer vulnerable to the damage that can be caused by dust, dirt or moisture. Some types of shrink wrap even come with UV protection, to keep your products safe from the sun’s harmful rays.
Shrink wrap is made from a very sturdy, durable plastic. It is difficult to tear or puncture. Unlike other materials, shrink wrap does not become brittle or weaken when it is in the sun or extreme cold. Once the shrink wrap has been heated and sealed over your objects, it will not loosen or sag.
Since shrink wrap both seals and holds its shape once applied, any tampering will be noticeable immediately. For this reason, many pharmaceutical companies now shrink wrap their products, as well as food manufacturers. Some types of shrink wraps used by banks and government agencies change color when the plastic has been stretched, to show that the sealed items have been touched.
Compared to other packaging materials, shrink wrap can be a very affordable choice. It also is designed to minimize space; it keeps bundled items close together without the use of additional bulky materials, such as boxes. Space saved is money saved, both in storage and transport.
An added feature of shrink wrap is that it can be designed with colors, words, pictures and logos that promote your products. From your production floor until it reaches the end user, your product isn’t just wrapped in plastic—it’s wrapped in your brand. This is a marketing tool that can increase brand awareness, and make you more visible to your customers.
The one item that most separates shrink wrap from other packaging materials is that it can be used for any size project. Small electrical wires are often shrink wrapped to prevent exposure to moisture. Game pieces, candies, and hardware can all be bunched and shrink wrapped. On the other end of the spectrum, shrink wrap kits are sold to weatherize boats and greenhouses. Freight on trailers and trains can be shrink wrapped for easier transport. Even entire buildings have been shrink wrapped to prevent chemical leaks or exposure from hazardous materials.

Cryovac CT-500 Series
Cryovac® CT-500 series soft shrink finesse films are based on the patented Sealed Air micro-layering technology platform. These films are designed to provide the shrink and ease-of-use
expected in the Cryovac® soft shrink film category, with excellent optics, improved toughness and enhanced tear resistance.
Cryovac® CT-500 series films are very forgiving on a wide range of equipment and are highly tear resistant. In addition, irregular shaped items packaged in these films come out of the
shrink tunnel with less bridging and smaller dog ears than conventional films, resulting in better final package appearance.

Cryovac CT-700 Series
Cryovac® CT-700 series high speed shrink films are based on the patented Sealed Air micro-layering technology platform. They are ideal for wrapping products on fully automated systems
where high speed functionality is critical. CT-700 provides quick sealing capability along with crystal clear optics required by retail products including pizza, candy and dairy

The Shanklin Omni® form-fill-seal wrappers redefine traditional shrink packaging equipment with innovative new features, advanced control network and dual product flow configurations.
Shanklin® A-26A Automatic L-Sealer
The A-26A features adjustable height seal jaws and can automatically wrap a wide range of products, including high profile or short length items, at speeds up to 40 packages per minute. EZ film threading is optional on the A-26A, which allows operators to move machine components for full access and visibility when threading film. It is also available in a USDA approved model.
Shanklin® A-27A Automatic L-Sealer
The A-27A possesses the same features as the A-26A, but with slightly larger allowances in its maximum seal size, product size, and film width specifications.
EZ film threading is standard on the A-27A. The A-27A is available in a USDA approved model as well.
Shanklin® A-28A Automatic L-Sealer
The A-28A features adjustable height seal jaws specially designed for products too large to fit through the A-26A or A-27A, and is equipped with a heavy-duty discharge conveyor.
Shanklin® HySpeed Series Equipment
The Shanklin® HySpeed Series are top-of-the-line machines that give you the speed and flexibility you need to meet evolving production demands. Side-sealing models HS Servo 15 and 19 and overlap-sealing models HS-2 and HS-4 offer a multitude of features, including fully automatic product handling, speeds from 100 to 180 packages per minute, and the ability to accommodate a wide range of product lengths and shapes. Shanklin® Multipacker L-Sealer
The Model M-22 Automatic Multipacker consists of a modified S-24C High Production L-Sealer. An automatic right-angle accumulating infeed has been installed for grouping a series of
products.
The basic components of the infeed are a product feeding conveyor, an accumulating conveyor, and a specialized right-angle inserting unit for feeding the grouping of products into the
sealing areas.
Shanklin® Semi-Automatic L-Sealer
The Shanklin® Semi-Automatic L-Sealers are built for applications that require packaging line speeds approaching those of fully automatic sealers, but where equipment cost is a factor or where the product does not lend itself to automatic handling. Dual Chamber Shrink Tunnels
Fully controllable air temperature and velocity on our high speed tunnels allows you to customize the shrinking conditions to the package being run.
The T-62 and T-72H high speed shrink tunnels were created to solve the most persistent shrink challenges: keeping up with high speed automatic wrappers, processing product with heat absorptive surfaces,
and wrapping irregularly shaped product where the film must conform tightly to the product.
Extended Single Shrink Tunnels
The T-71 and T-81 high speed shrink tunnels were created to solve the higher speed applications not requiring a dual chamber shrink tunnel. Our designs feature an extended single chamber for increased shrink time, while remaining cost-effective since the tunnel utilizes single controls and single blowers.
Large Capacity Shrink Tunnel
Sometimes, you just need more room. Our T-9 large capacity shrink tunnel is designed for those packages that are too large or too wide to fit through a T-7 Series tunnel. Large capacity features varying tunnel heights and widths to best meet your shrinking needs.
Single Chamber Shrink Tunnels
Simplicity and reliability best describe the T-6H and T-7H standard shrink tunnels. Each is a hard-working, high performance machine that produces superior packages every time. Standard models are also available in stainless steel construction.
